Is YarnArt Gold itchy because of the metallic thread?

YarnArt Gold is mostly soft acrylic: only 8% is metallic polyester, so it feels far gentler than tinsel-type sparkle yarns. The glint comes from a fine metallic strand running through the 92% acrylic. Skin sensitivity varies, so for a high neck or snug cuffs, wear a small swatch against your neck for a few minutes first.

What can I make with YarnArt Gold?

Light, dressy pieces where a gentle shine helps: summer tops, lacy cardigans, shawls, evening hats and Christmas decorations. It is a fingering weight with 400 m per 100 g ball, so it looks best in open crochet mesh or knitted lace rather than chunky textures. For a heavier, bolder shimmer, try YarnArt Manhattan.

How many balls of YarnArt Gold do I need for a summer top?
